Maria's Comet Earrings - Named after Maria Mitchell, the first professional female astronomer in the US and the comet she identified 1847. The discovery made her world renowned and she was awarded a gold medal with the inscription "Not in vain do we watch the rising or setting of stars."

These earrings are 65mm in length x 3mm wide x 1.5mm high. Earrings are hand fabricated using .925 sterling silver wire.
